Record a voice note from the roof
How to talk a roofing job in from the roof instead of typing: record up to 90 seconds and RidgeSync writes the job note and creates the follow-up tasks.

Open the job
Open the job on your PHONE — the “Voice note” card is below Tasks, and it is deliberately hidden on a computer.

Hit Record and talk
Say what you found and what you need to do — measurements, names, numbers, whatever you'd have written down. It stops on its own at 90 seconds.

Hit Stop
It writes the recording up as a job note in your own words: the facts kept exactly as you said them, the ums and false starts dropped.

Check what it made
The note and any tasks it pulled out appear on the card. Both are already saved — the note in the Activity log, the tasks on the Tasks card.
- Anything you say you'll DO becomes a task — “order the ridge cap”, “call Dave back Friday”. Describing work you already finished stays in the note instead.
- Spoken dates become real due dates, so “Friday” lands on the calendar rather than sitting in the task title.
- Your phone asks for microphone permission the first time. If it got blocked, allow the mic for this site in your browser settings and try again.
- It behaves the same on iPhone and Android — the recording is converted in your browser before it's sent.
