Set up from paperwork you already have

How to load your existing quote wording, supplier price sheet and roof system into RidgeSync by photographing the paperwork instead of typing it in.

6 min4 steps
  1. 1

    Your quote wording

Quote template → “Import from a quote you already send.” Upload the PDF or photograph the page showing your warranties, what's included and your deposit terms. It reads them in; you choose Add or Replace, then Save template.

  2. 2

    Your products and prices

Catalog → “Import from a supplier invoice.” Upload or photograph a supplier invoice or price sheet. It reads product names, units and unit prices, skipping tax, freight and totals.

  3. 3

Check how each item is measured

The import also GUESSES how each product is measured — squares, eaves, ridges — and how much one unit covers. That is on no invoice, so anything incomplete is highlighted amber. Fix those before adding: coverage is how much ONE unit covers (a shingle bundle is 0.33 squares, a 10′ stick of drip edge is 10 feet).

  4. 4

    Your roof system

Systems → “Import a system from a proposal you already send.” It reads the system name, your price per square, the scope paragraph and what the price includes, then matches the products against your catalog. Do this after the catalog, so there is something to match.

Good to know
  • Nothing is saved until you have seen it and confirmed. Every field is editable first.
  • Anything the system import can't find in your catalog is listed by name rather than invented — add it on the Catalog page and tick it on.
  • Up to 4 pages at a time, 3.5MB total. A screenshot of one page beats uploading a 30-page contract.
  • Colours are deliberately stripped from product names. “Duration Onyx Black” is the product “Duration” — colour is chosen per job, not a separate catalog item.
