Build your catalog

How to build your product and labor catalog so estimates price themselves — set the unit, coverage, cost, waste and which measurement drives the quantity.

6 min5 steps
  1. 1

    Open Catalog

Go to Catalog under Manage in the sidebar.

  2. 2

Or import it from a supplier invoice

Faster than typing: “Import from a supplier invoice” sits at the top of the page. Upload the PDF or photograph a supplier invoice or price sheet, and AI reads the product names, units and prices — skipping tax, freight and totals. It also GUESSES how each item is measured, which is on no invoice, so anything incomplete is highlighted for you to fix before it is added.

  3. 3

    Add an item

Click “Add a catalog item”: give it a name, a supplier, a type (Material or Labor) and a unit, then “Add.” Items group by supplier (“In-House” is always there for labor).

  4. 4

    Set how it’s measured

Expand the item to set Unit, Coverage (per unit), Cost ($/unit), Waste %, and “Measured by” — pick which roof measurements auto-drive its quantity (or “Manual quantity”). Add Supplier SKUs if you want them on orders.

  5. 5

    Keep prices current

Update costs when your supplier prices change — every future estimate uses the new numbers.
